Capitalizing on the energy, creativity and enthusiasm of Baltimore's young people, Youth As Resources makes grants for youth-designed and carried out community organizing projects.
A Board of Directors -- made up of 22 young people from across Baltimore and 4 adult community leaders manage two grant cycles a year (one in the Spring and one in the Fall). Board members host workshops, design grant guidelines, request proposals, review applications and decide on funding awards.
Health Care for the Homeless provides comprehensive services to nearly 8,000 Marylanders annually at clinic sites in Baltimore
City, Frederick and Montgomery County. HCH services, delivered through interdisciplinary teams, are designed to meet the full
range of needs presented by people experiencing homelessness.
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of
Olympic-type sports for persons eight years of age and older with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing
opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts,
skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Hopkins Children's cares for sick children, researches the causes of and cures for childhood illness, and trains the pediatricians of tomorrow.
Children's Miracle Network Richmond raises the level of pediatric healthcare in central Virginia by supporting
Children's Hospital and VCU Children's Medical Center.
Pollution and other harmful activities degrade the Bay. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) fights for strong and effective laws and regulations. CBF also works cooperatively with government, business, and citizens in partnerships to protect and restore the Bay. When necessary, we use legal means to force compliance with existing laws.
St. Jane is a coed Pre-K-8 Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Maryland. The program includes 3- and 4-year-old Pre-Kindergarten and full-day kindergarten. They are also one of only three schools in the Archdiocese to offer PRIDE services for students with identified learning disabilities. St. Jane is located in northeastern Anne Arundel County just south of Baltimore City--a short ride from both the Annapolis area and from Washington, D.C. The students represent many areas of Anne Arundel County, as well as Baltimore City and the surrounding counties.
The Alliance for Aging Research is the nation's leading non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and accelerating
the pace of medical discoveries to vastly improve the universal human experience of aging and health.
The Greater Severna Park Athletic Association, known as the Green Hornets is a non-profit youth sports organization for children ages 5 to 18. The Green Hornets serve over 5,000 area children each year. It provides the opportunity for kids to be involved in any of eleven sports at varying levels of competition.

neighborhoods by transforming the lives of community residents and creates opportunities for children
with severe at-risk challenges to excel academically and socially.
Center Of Applied Technology-North School serves 10th through 12th Grade Students From The City Of Severn, Which Is Part Of Anne Arundel County. Being a Vocational School, it focuses primarily on Providing Formal Preparation For Skilled, Technical, or Professional Occupations. This School Is A "Shared Time" School, Which Offers Vocational, Technical Or Other Education Services Where Some Or All Students Are Enrolled At A Separate Home-School And Attend The "Shared Time" School On A Part-Time Basis.
